As Nevadans, we know all too well that active shooters attacks are unfortunately on the rise. Being prepared for such incidents is vital to maintain personal safety for yourself, and your tenants.  The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Our guest speaker, Sgt. Daniel Gomes of the Carson City Sheriff's Department, a certified instructor of the program, will discuss the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.

According to the FBI, over 40% of active assailants attack in business locations—as property managers, we owe it to our tenants, and their customers, to educate ourselves and be prepared.
